U.I.C
Mawlid Conference in Chicago
July 30 to 31, 2005
Pamphlet
While we attest to faith that all praise
along with gratifications belong to Allaah (S.W.T)
The Omnipotent Master of Creation we most sincerely pray this
missive reaches your
honorable noble person in the best disposition of health and
exquisite spirit.
The Universal Islamic Center (UIC) is a non-profit organization
that affirms the reality of universally recognized values rooted
in and arising from our faith in the incompatible Lord of Majesty
and Grace, Almighty God (Allah). These sacred values include
freedom, love, compassion, peace, justice, tolerance, harmony,
beauty and unity of good purpose. Ostensibly these values are
at the very core of human society and there can be no effective
and sustained socio-economic political and inter-religious interactions,
cooperation and development without them.
It is very significant to acknowledge that despite US government
track record on improving our country's good relations abroad
through extensive engagement and dissemination of information
towards verbalization of freedom, peaceful coexistence, democracy
and sustained friendship with foreign nations and audiences,
recent world events culminated by the appalling Newsweek magazine
debacle has very unfortunately induced an already growing culture
of hatred and hostility against USA. The consequences of this
allegation is so volatile to the extent that several ill-informed
influential Muslim leaders are quickly invigorated to turn even
the very rational and moderate minded Muslims to emotional exercises
whereby violent riots and reckless demonstrations are strongly
held in constraint, and negative tensions of senseless anti-Americanism
still remain extremely high in certain parts of the Muslim and
non Muslim World.
In consequence to this, we as concerned Muslims conscious of
our moral responsibility and accountability under the umbrella
of the Universal Islamic Center (UIC), Insha-Allaah intend to
hold our 13th Annual International Conference on the life
history and exemplary characteristic (SEERAH) of the “Prophet
Muhammed (pbuh) as The Perfect Example for Peace in the World”
from Saturday 30th of July to Sunday 31 of July 2005, at The
Mosque Maryam 7351 S. Stony Island in Chicago Illinois. The
program is scheduled to begin from 10am to 5pm each day. Several
prominent Muslim leaders, organizations, Youth Delegates from
around the nation and the world have been invited to attend.
The Theme of the conference is :
"Islam in Essence, as the Beacon of Light for World Peace.”
Furthermore, as people of The Islamic
Faith, our Conference seeks to establish a forum with absolute
commitment and deliberate intent to optimize better understanding
and a more realistic perception of our country's image, as
the most religiously pluralistic world that embraces all religions
and promotes interracial, inter-religious interaction , reconciliation
, mutual respect and understanding, cooperation and friendship.
We at the UIC believe that an event such as this can well
contribute by driving a point with sound resolutions to the
entire world of Islam that USA quintessentially is founded
on the principles of religious diversity, Freedom of Expression,
Tolerance, and inter-religious cooperation. Remarkably United
States of America respects all religions and as such would
never condone, act, behave nor sanction violation nor desecration
of the Holy Qur'aan or any other religious scripture or book.
It simply goes against the very fabric of our democratic environment
beliefs and cultural values.
Therefore it is our great pleasure and honor to invite your
noble persons who in obedience to Almighty God Allah stand
for the principles of peace, justice, equality, God Given
freedom, spiritual upliftment, socio-economic, political development,
atonement and reconciliation, to attend and participate. In
conclusion, we would most highly appreciate your kind support
for this cause and with the uttermost assurance of our highest
esteem; we deem your noble persons presence and participation
as key for the conference’s success.
Allaahu-Akbar, Wa Li-Llaahil-Hamd, ’Alaikum Warhamatu-Llaahi
Wa Barakaatuh!
Yours most sincerely
For and on behalf of the Universal Islamic Center
Chicago, IL, USA.
